South Asians In and Around Windsor

 

Dr. Kumar Chatterjee was the first President of the South Asian Centre of Windsor. Kumar has spent over 30 years practicing and teaching Social Work. He has contributed to many social service agencies in and around Windsor. He retired from the School of Social Work, University of Windsor. He actively volunteers in many service agencies in Windsor.


Shalin Khosla is the green house vegetable specialist working at Harrow Research Centre, involved in technology transfer. He has been active in the community for many years, being involved with the South Asian Centre and India Canada Association. He also coaches girls' softball.


Raj Patil was the first President of the Cultures of India Association which later started the South Asian Centre of Windsor. He just retired from IT Services, University of Windsor but continues to teach in Computer Science. He is active in the Seniors Group.


Rose Oliverohas been involved with both Cultures of India Association and South Asian Centre. She is the recipient of the prestigious Windsor Woman of the Year award. She retired as a French teacher but is still active in the community.
